Andy Buckman - Chief Sales Officer

Andy Buckman serves as Chief Sales Officer of The Messenger Co., where he leads the company’s sales and marketing teams across its portfolio of brands, including Messenger Stationery, Thumbies, Express Funeral Funding, CemSites, and Just Digital. In this role, he is focused on strengthening customer partnerships, advancing growth initiatives, and driving innovative sales strategies that deliver meaningful value to funeral professionals and the families they serve.

Andy also continues to serve as President of Express Funeral Funding, providing leadership and strategic direction for the company’s funding operations and customer relationships. With a strong focus on collaboration, service, and long-term partnerships, Andy brings a customer-first approach to his leadership across The Messenger Co.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Andy has a passion for home remodeling and is an avid real estate investor. He cherishes family life, is happily married to his wife Abbey, and is a proud father to his two daughters, Iyla and Isabelle.

Heather Garman - V.P. of Sales and Marketing

Heather Garman serves as VP Sales and Marketing for The Messenger Co. In this role, Heather oversees a broad portfolio of responsibilities to ensure client success while aligning teams to fulfill the Messenger mission of comforting the grieving with meaningful products through our network of funeral professionals. Heather joined Messenger in 2003 and has built a broad-ranging career with experiences in Customer Service, Sales and Marketing and assumed her current role on the executive leadership team in 2019. She is a servant leader passionate about delivering the WOW factor. Heather holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana. Heather has three daughters and lives in Northeast Indiana.

Nichole Bishop - Director of Sales, North Region & National Accounts

Nichole Bishop spent over a decade as Messenger’s Product Development Manager and after, became the National Accounts Manager. She took a leave of absence for a few years but when the position opened back up in January of 2020, she came back as the National Accounts Manager, we are happy to have her! Before her time at Messenger, Nichole worked as an art director for a travel company in Alabama. Outside of work, Nichole enjoys spending her summers hanging out by her pond with her kids, refinishing furniture and traveling. Her favorite vacation spot is Duck, North Carolina. Nichole lives in Fort Wayne with her husband Brad, they have three kids together, Kaitlyn, Paul and Madison.

Brian Clary - Director of Sales, East Region

Brian joined Messenger in 2014, but has been working in the funeral industry in various roles since he was 16 years old. He is a CMA and CPA with over 35 years of experience working with funeral homes and cemeteries. Before coming to Messenger, Brian worked with The Lowen Group, Aurora Casket Company, and Johnson Consulting on both the financial and operations side, and the sales side. Brian is originally from British Columbia, Canada, but now he lives in northern Kentucky with his wife and four children. Outside of work, Brian enjoys playing on a hockey team with his son.

Kim Scott - Director of Sales, West Region

Kim began his funeral service career in 1973 at Hawthorn Funeral Home, while attending college in his hometown of Carthage, Texas. He graduated from Sam Houston State University and from Commonwealth College of Mortuary Sciences, and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Kim worked for Service Corporation International for much of his early career before joining Messenger in 2004 as a sales representative in Eastern Texas. He was in the Top 10 and shared Sales Representative of the Year. He was named Supplier of the Year by the Texas Funeral Directors Association and by the Southeast Texas Funeral Directors Association. Kim became Director of Sales for Messenger’s West Region in 2014. He and his wife Cheryl reside in Katy, Texas. They are the parents of three daughters and seven grandchildren. Kim and Cheryl enjoy spending the summer by the pool with the grandchildren, watching football in the fall, and attending Dallas Cowboys games. They also enjoy good food with good friends.
